Motor Drive Units and Wheel Drive Units
Motor Drive Units and Wheel Drive Units are offered to applications requiring both a gearbox and brake in combination with a servomotor. The Motor Drive Units are configured and optimized for each customer application. For unique requirements, cusomtized solutions can be configured and developed.
For AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robot) and AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicle), Simplex Motion offer Wheel Drive Units. The standard planetary gearbox is replaced by a wheel hub with an integrated planetary gearbox.

Motor Drive Units 040, 100 and 200
Combine any of the motors below with a brake, a gearbox or both gearbox and brake. The brake can preferable be controlled directly from the motors I/O.

Wheel Drive Units 040, 100 and 200
Combine any of the motors below with only a wheel unit or wheel unit and a brake. The brake is preferable controlled directly from the motors I/O. Typical applications are AMRs and AGVs or applications with high radial loads on gearbox output shaft.
